May 19: Sacramento CASA’s 9th Annual Light of Hope Event will Raise Funds for Foster Youth

May 19, 2016 | 8:30 PM11:00 PM

This year, we will be kicking off our 9th Annual Light of Hope event on May 19th at Beatnik Studios. Sponsored by Deloitte, this fundraiser will be full of youth dance performances, live music, foster youth art auction, silent auction, wine and heavy hors d’oeuvres.

Celebrating their 25th Anniversary, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Sacramento County was founded in 1991 to serve those children who have been abused, neglected or abandoned by their families and are dependents of the County of Sacramento’s Juvenile Court. Since its inception, CASA volunteers have donated over 115,000 hours of service to nearly 2,500 foster youth!

The funds collected at this event will go directly towards serving Sacramento’s foster youth. Advocacy for these youth requires specialized training and our volunteers are ready to step up and ensure these children’s voices are heard and that increased and sustainable permanency  through loving families can be achieved. We aim for better health and development outcomes for our most vulnerable children, outcomes that will help break the cycle of abuse and neglect, one child at a time.
