Overview

Test-drive Google SecOps in a hands-on Capture the Flag event. Compete, solve challenges, and sharpen your skills.

Coworking Day at Savant Solutions: Google Security Operations (SecOps) Capture the Flag (CTF)

As one of the region's leading cybersecurity firms, Savant Solutions is dedicated to fostering collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the cybersecurity community. Join us at our downtown Sacramento office for an exciting, hands-on Capture the Flag (CTF) experience featuring Google's Security Operations Platform.

Designed to go beyond traditional presentations and product demos, this interactive event puts you directly in the action. Tackle real-world security challenges, compete alongside fellow cybersecurity professionals, and experience firsthand how Google SecOps helps teams detect, investigate, and respond to threats faster. Whether you're looking to sharpen your skills, explore new technology, or expand your professional network, this is a unique opportunity to put Google SecOps to the test in a fun, gamified environment.

Bring your computer and come join us!

Why a CTF? The Google Security Difference:

Watching a demo is one thing; getting your hands on the keyboard is another. This CTF is great for you and your team because it allows you to:

  • Move Beyond Passive Demos: Instead of just watching, you'll be actively problem-solving in a live environment. It’s the most effective way to truly understand how a tool works for you.
  • Validate SecOps Power in Real-Time: See for yourself how an integrated platform can accelerate threat detection, investigation, and response. You'll experience the speed and efficiency gains directly.
  • Tackle Realistic Scenarios: The challenges mirror the complex incidents your team faces, allowing you to apply your skills and learn new techniques in a safe, sandboxed environment.
  • Empower Your Security Professionals: Participants leave with practical, hands-on skills and a clear understanding of how Google SecOps can be integrated into their daily workflows.

Who Should Attend:

The gameplay is designed to be valuable for all members of the agency. We encourage participation from:

  • L1/L2/L3 SOC Analysts: See how an integrated platform can enrich alerts and speed up triage and investigation workflows.
  • Incident Responders: Use the platform to manage and respond to a simulated incident from detection to resolution.
  • Threat Hunters: Proactively hunt for threats using integrated intelligence and telemetry.
  • Security Engineers: Understand how to apply detection engineering and create response playbooks.
  • SOC Managers: Understand the operational efficiencies and capabilities an integrated SecOps platform brings to the team.
  • IT, Sysadmin, or Helpdesk Teams: Consider including team members interested in building their security experience.

What to Expect on Game Day:

Your mission is to score as many points as possible by solving a series of security challenges ("flags"). The gameplay is fast-paced, engaging, and designed to showcase the power of the Google SecOps platform. You can expect:

Individual Gameplay: This is your chance to shine! You will compete as an individual to test your skills and race up the leaderboard.
Hands-On Challenges: The flags are practical and relevant. For example, you might be tasked with Triaging a Phishing Alert, Hunting for Lateral Movement, or Responding to a Ransomware Outbreak.
Guided Learning: While you'll be driving the action, Google’s technical experts will be on hand as facilitators to provide hints, explain concepts, and guide you toward the solution.
A Fun, Competitive Atmosphere: Track your progress on a live leaderboard! It's a low-pressure, high-energy environment designed for learning and engagement.

What We'll Provide:

We've got you covered. Here’s what will be waiting for you:

  • A Sandbox Environment: A dedicated, temporary environment with full access to the Google Security Operations platform. Please note: All activities will use Google-provided demonstration data, not your organization's data.
  • The CTF Platform: Access to our game platform, where you will receive challenges and submit your flags.
  • Expert Support: Our team of Google SecOps specialists will be available to assist you throughout the event.
  • Prizes: Bragging rights are great, but a little swag for the top players makes it even better!

We’re excited to welcome you to our office and connect with the minds shaping the future of cybersecurity. Let’s collaborate, learn, and grow our community together!

Savant Solutions is a Sacramento-based cybersecurity firm trusted by California public-sector agencies to turn security strategy into enforced control. Most agencies have a roadmap. Few have consistent enforcement. Savant closes that gap operationalizing Zero Trust across identity, endpoint, network, and data to ensure access is governed, data is protected, and controls hold under audit.
