Sept. 25 - Sacramento event to connect tech startups with venture capital experts

Tech startup executives and venture capital experts will have an opportunity to connect at Velocity Venture Capital’s Entrepreneurs Showcase next Tuesday in Sacramento.

The event is part of a seven-month program that identifies tech companies in search of capital in the region, says the Folsom-based venture capital firm hosting the free conference.

Executives with the Central Texas Angel Network, New Enterprise Associates, Silicon Valley Bank and The McClatchy Company will participate in a two-hour panel session on how entrepreneurs can attract more funding for startup companies.

"The hardest part for many entrepreneurs is not developing the idea, but figuring out how to turn that idea into a money-making business," said Yanev Suissa, an investor at New Enterprise Associates, in Velocity Venture Capital’s press release. "Our goal is to find entrepreneurs with a great concept, and help them develop viable companies."

Dell Inc., Oracle Corp. and Samsung are supporting partners of the showcase, according to the announcement.

Event details:

Location: University of Pacific McGeorge School of Law, 3200 5th Ave. in Sacramento

Date: September 25

Time: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The showcase is free, but seating is limited to the first 150 people. Please send an email to info@velocityvc.com to RSVP. For more information on the program, visit www.velocityvc.com.
