Endpoint security has changed a lot in the last five years. As an industry, we went from accepting signature-based endpoint protection to assuming that protections will fail. This shift in endpoint protection strategy followed revelations about nation-state threat actors and their advanced tactics, techniques, and procedures to evade legacy protection measures. Today, the endpoint market provides a wide array of endpoint protection platforms (EPP) as well as endpoint detection and response (EDR) options for customers to consider. EPP has largely done away with signatures as a prevention mechanism and now rely on heuristics, behavioral analysis, and run-time process evaluation to prevent threats to an endpoint. The EDR market. has enabled security analysts with visibility and endpoint telemetry that was formerly only available to forensics analysts. The combination of these two endpoint security capabilities provides additional peace of mind to security leaders but requires analysts to have more skills in interpreting and triaging security events. In this month’s virtual event, we will be highlighting some of the key components of endpoint security platforms and discuss the pros and cons of each. We’ll then spend some time diving into the specific use cases for detection, prevention, and investigation.

  • Palo Alto Networks: Why Leveraging Endpoints As Sensors Is Critical; We will discuss the advantages of using your endpoints as force augmentees for your firewalls to detect highly-nuanced threat and how it helps reduce time to detection and improve prevention enterprise-wide.

  • Lookout: Mobile Endpoint Security, (not just management) for iOS, Android and Chrome Books; State and local agencies have experienced a 42% increase in credential harvesting phishing attacks. According to Lookout’s government threat report, one in 13 state and local employees were exposed to phishing attacks in the last year. The rapid shift to remote work and BYOD has contributed to a wider range of vulnerabilities in today's environment.
Join Lookout to examine the complex threat landscape and learn more about Mobile Enterprise Security. Our solution expert will provide a demo and share how to stop mobile phishing attacks, filter inappropriate web content, and share tips on how to leverage mobile vulnerability & patch management solutions.

  • CrowdStrike: Defending the endpoint; statistics, observations, and best practice; Crowdstrike will be discussing cyber war stories and discuss examples of attacks from threat actors, their profile, the TTPs and examples of the TTPs. CrowdStrike will also go over EDR metadata and actions RTR can enable you to take.
