March 06, 2018 | 11:00 AM3:00 PM

Data governance, beyond the early stages, is difficult. Learn how to put it in play for your organization.

Data governance, beyond the early stages, is difficult. Many departments and agencies struggle to turn policies and charters into operationalized processes and a functioning program.

If you and your stakeholders understand the value of data governance, but struggle to “make it real,” this is a great opportunity for you to hear the latest on how to approach this problem from data governance thought leader, Anne Buff.

You’ll also hear from other California State leaders on how they are stepping up to the plate to put data governance in play for their organizations.

The following is an agenda for the event:

  • 8am – 8:30am Breakfast: A breakfast buffet will be served from 8am – 8:30am. Please arrive at 8am PST to enjoy a full breakfast buffet and to network with local State Department leaders.
  • 8:30am – 11:30am There’s No Crying in Data Governance: What Happens When Data Governance Efforts Don’t Go As Planned: Please be seated by 8:30am in the Western Health Advantage Legacy Club for a presentation by Anne Buff, VP of the Data Governance Professional Organization (DGPO) and Data Governance Thought Leader. There will be a break halfway through the presentation for networking and questions.
  • 11:30am – Noon State of CA Data Governance Panel: Please join your fellow State of California leaders as they share a panel discussion on the successful deployment of data governance programs across various State of California organizations.
