Assembly subcommittee denies expansion of court computer system

An Assembly budget subcommittee yesterday unanimously voted against the expansion of a $556.5 million statewide court case management system that’s currently deployed in some counties, according to a report found here in The Sacramento Bee. Dan Walters writes about the budget politics and an ongoing dispute between the Administrative Office of the Courts and a group of judges who are against using the new system.
