Atlassian Names Tech Veteran Roderigues to SLED Sales Role in Western U.S.

Atlassian Corp. has named Tim Roderigues to the role of senior public account executive, serving the state and local government and education market in the western states including California.

Roderigues is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and has almost 20 years’ experience in sales.

“I am thrilled to share my enthusiasm about the exciting journey ahead as I join Atlassian in the role of senior public sector account executive,” Roderigues told Industry Insider — California. “The opportunity to contribute to such a dynamic and innovative company has ignited a strong sense of motivation and excitement within me.”

Atlassian’s software products focus on making it easier “to communicate and collaborate across projects and platforms.” He added: “I aspire to play a pivotal role in expanding Atlassian’s presence in the public sector by fostering strategic partnerships, delivering tailored solutions, and consistently exceeding customer expectations.”

Ben Straub, Atlassian’s head of Public Sector, said he’s excited to have Roderigues on board.

“His experience both within the industry at places like Adobe and ServiceNow combined with his relationships and familiarity in the Western U.S., particularly California, is exactly what we need to grow that part of our business,” Straub told Industry Insider. “As we move to a cloud-first strategy, the SLED market is a big priority for Atlassian Public Sector, and we are confident Tim will make an immediate impact!”

Roderigues’ previous affiliations include ServiceNow, Accenture, Adobe, Informatica and Oracle. He is a graduate of Dominican University of California, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in international business management.
