AWS Sales Exec McCurry Dials Focus to California

John McCurry, a 25-year veteran in the technology sales space, is shifting gears to focus his efforts on supporting AWS’ California government agency clients.

Since 2021, McCurry has served as an account manager with the industry giant. His new
role will focus on helping agencies navigate their specific challenges. This role is an additional position added to the AWS State of California sales team.

“I'm excited to share I’ve transitioned into a new role as an account executive supporting state of California agencies. In this position, I will partner with a number of agencies to tackle their challenges and help create better experiences for their constituents,” McCurry said in a LinkedIn post.

Before joining AWS, McCurry spent more than a decade with Cisco in management roles, and previously held sales roles with Juniper Networks, Rocket Software and Sterling Software.

McCurry holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from California State University, Sacramento, and a Master of Business Administration from Golden Gate University.
