Sales and marketing professionals will want to stay tuned Monday for insights from California’s chief information officer into the state’s tech agenda.

State CIO Liana Bailey-Crimmins, who’s also the director of the California Department of Technology, will headline a roster of marquee speakers at Monday afternoon’s State of Technology — California Industry Forum,* a live event aimed at sales and marketing leaders from across the technology sector. Industry members will want to hear Bailey-Crimmins’ forecast, which will include:
  • How the state relies on industry partners to address their vital needs. State IT leaders know that the public/private partnership is crucial to advancing the state’s goals.
  • Timely, essential topics including generative AI, proofs of concept, the state’s digital identity gateway, and the state’s strategic IT direction.

The half-day event begins with registration at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Hilton Sacramento Arden West. The event will include a series of panel discussions that will conclude at 4:30 p.m., followed by a networking reception until 5:30 p.m. Those who sell to state government — and those who aspire to — will hear from some of gov tech’s other marquee names, including:
