BeyondTrust Names Chris Macias Account Manager for N. California

BeyondTrust has named Chris Macias as the account manager for state and local government in Northern California.

Macias, who joined BeyondTrust in November, brings over 20 years of experience in IT sales to his new role, including a deep knowledge of public-sector sales. His areas of expertise include all aspects of security consultation including government contracting, contract vehicles and government sales practices.

BeyondTrust account executive Alex Sebens will oversee state and local government affairs in the southern part of the state.

With privileged access management (PAM) at the core of identity security, it is critical that organizations understand that PAM is the last line of defense against malicious insiders and external factors.”

Macias added that the BeyondTrust platform of solutions “aligns with the Cal-Secure requirements for California state government and the California military assessment.” In his LinkedIn profile, he describes his mission as “helping organizations secure and protect the ‘keys to the kingdom.’”

Macias has more than 15 years’ experience in the technology industry. He began his career in the telecommunications sector, then focused on information security. His previous affiliations have included CyberArk, One Identity and Dell Technologies.

Macias, who’s based in Rocklin, earned his Bachelor of Science in marketing from California State University, Fresno.
