Welzel added, “In addition to her technology experience, Lisa has a varied background, having taught at the university level for several years, directing a few nonprofits and starting her own nonprofit (501c3) organization. As if that weren’t enough, Lisa actively volunteers in her local community. Lisa epitomizes Informatica’s ‘We DATA’ values.”
Buschmann told Techwire she’s eager to dig into her new role.
“I am very excited to be joining the Informatica Master Data Management team,” Buschmann said. “When selecting an organization to work with, I put values and commitment to customers at the top of my list of ‘must-haves.’ The people at Informatica live these values and commitment every day; in fact, ‘Think Customer First’ is one of our core values. I am excited to continue to work with the people of the state of California, helping to enhance and realize the vision of data transparency, data access and whole-person care. It also helps that Informatica has the best technology in the industry!" (per Gartner and other leading industry analysts)
Before Buschmann’s most recent affiliation with Gainwell Technologies, she’s also worked for CA Technologies, Oracle, Blackboard and Sun Microsystems, among other institutions and organizations.
She's been a lecturer and an adjunct professor at the University of Paris, Yuba College, Brandman University and Cal State Chico.
Buschmann received her bachelor’s degree in politics and French from UC Santa Cruz, her master’s in teaching international languages from Cal State Chico and her doctorate in second language acquisition from the University of Arizona. She, her husband and their son enjoy traveling.
