The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL Fire) has acquired IT services from Global Blue DVBE through a $3.2 million Master Service Agreement for the purpose of business transformation work, according to state documents from Jan. 6.
Based in Rocklin, Calif., Global Blue offers professional consulting services as well as solutions in verticals such as 3-D modeling, mass notification, and printing and billing.
Global Blue DVBE was founded by U.S. Marine veteran Dave Hornbeck, and the company has disabled veteran business enterprise (DVBE) status. The company has worked on California's 911 system and provided services for the California LifeLine program, according to the Sacramento Bee. The company also has a product that sends cellphone alerts during emergencies.
Global Blue DVBE has worked for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Department of Parks and Recreation, and several other state agencies and departments.
The company was founded in 2011 and has about 90 employees, according to its website.
