CalEPA AISO (IT Manager II)
$11,056 to $13,439 per month

The AISO reports to the chief information officer and plays a key role in overseeing the IT security programs within the six boards, departments and offices under CalEPA. The AISO “provides critical direction in IT security, risk and privacy, aligning with CalEPA's programs, strategic goals and business objectives.” Desirable qualifications include:

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in information security, with a focus on leadership roles.
• Proven track record in managing complex IT security programs, ideally within large organizations.
• Ability to align information security, risk and privacy initiatives with broader organizational strategies and business objectives.
• Experience developing and implementing strategies that contribute to the integrity, confidentiality and reliability of information assets.

EDD CICS System Engineer (IT Specialist I)
$6,323 to $10,230 per month

EDD is seeking candidates to work in the Mainframe Technical Support Group, providing high-level technical support and maintenance for EDD's Customer Information Control System (CICS) for processing mission-critical applications such as Unemployment Insurance, Disability Insurance/Paid Family Leave and tax programs.

“The incumbent performs a variety of technical tasks including monitoring the CICS online system performance; problem-solving and technical assistance; performing software deployment and release management activities; identifying infrastructure system requirements; and acting as project technical lead,” the job posting says. Desirable qualifications include:

• Experience in TSO, JCL, IOF, VS, ISPF, as well as COBOL, VSAM, Db2, DYL280, CLISTS, REXX, IBM Utilities
• Experience with mainframe tools, including Omegamon, IBM Session Manager (ISM) and other common mainframe utilities related to CICS
• Experience with CICS performance monitoring
• Experience with debugging tools — Abend-Aid, Fault Analyzer, Xpediter
