The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation put out an RFP for the installation of a fire alarm system at Pelican Bay State Prison.
The contractor will be responsible for providing all equipment, materials, permits, insurance, tools and anything else necessary to install the fire alarm system.
The work on this project will be carried out in nine phases of design, installation and technical support, and testing and training in the four facilities.
The maximum contract amount is $250,000. Bids are due at 2 p.m. Aug. 16. The contract will begin when it has been approved and will terminate on March 29, 2019. However, the RFP document states that the term can be extended at the same rates “if it is determined to be in the best interest of the State.”

The Department of Developmental Services released an RFI for a reimbursement system that will replace its system, which is more than 35 years old, and automate business functions.
The project will also implement five reimbursement programs, which are Waiver, TCM, NHR, SDP and 1915i.
Responses to this RFI are due by 2 p.m. Aug. 31. Vendors are not required to respond to be considered for the RFP.

The Department of Transportation released an RFP for the repair and/or replacement of an inductive loop detector in several counties, including Sacramento, Yolo, Yuba and Placer.
According to the RFP, the contractor will be responsible for replacing non-functioning loop detectors. They will also be providing everything necessary to carry out the project, including, but not limited to, labor, tools, materials and equipment.
The estimated start date of this contract is Sept. 1, extending three years to finish on Aug. 31, 2020. The maximum contract amount hasn’t been decided yet.
