The California Department of Technology has published a request for quotes (RFQ) for access control and surveillance system maintenance.

The solicitation, published July 16, includes planned upgrades for the existing CDT facility and administrative branch security systems at six locations. This work includes “large infrastructure cameras, access badge readers, digital video records, server cabinet security systems and security software.”

The vendor will also need to provide service to “critical hardware/software that must be maintained and/or replaced on a regular basis,” the RFQ reads.

The term of the contract will be two years, with the potential for an additional 12-month extension.

CDT is headquartered in Rancho Cordova, and three of the four mandatory site conferences will be at various locations there July 24; the fourth will be held in Vacaville July 25. Pre-registration for the site conferences must be completed by July 23.

Responses to this RFQ are due no later than 2 p.m. Aug. 13, and hard copy and fax submittals will not be accepted. The point of contact for this solicitation is Richard Vanderzanden.
