Hall succeeds Ron Speno, who had held the position for more than seven years. The Sacramento-based Speno, who had a 40-year career in sales and management, retired last month.
“I am eager to continue to serve as a trusted adviser to our customers and look forward to giving them counsel on areas of major importance, like network security and managed services,” Hall said in an announcement from a Comcast Business spokesperson. “To ensure we are effective partners, my goal is to grow our team’s local presence in all major areas of California, to help foster more personalized relationships with our government and education customers.”
Hall joined Comcast Business in 2017 as the director of sales engineering for GovEd and Strategic Accounts within the company’s West Division. In his role, the company said, he was instrumental in developing an enterprise-grade sales engineering team to pursue large-government, education and enterprise-level customers. “He was a core part of the team that built the benchmark model for developing and sustaining state agreements, and his leadership was instrumental in ensuring customer contract responses and executions,” the company announcement said.
Hall, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the telecom industry, has previously held various sales engineering and leadership positions with companies including Electric Lightwave, Integra and Pac-West Telecom.
Outside of work, Hall pursues his passion for classic cars and vehicle restoration. He is also committed to community service, sitting on the board of the Lodi Odd Fellows, which contributes to local charities.
