Comcast Corporation announced last week the launch of Upware marketplace, where Comcast customers can purchase third-party, cloud-based applications in the categories of data backup, data security and collaboration.
Upware is available at business.comcast.com/Upware and is designed particularly for small and medium sized businesses. The service is also available for government agencies, according to spokesman Bryon Byrd.
"We know small business owners and we know what tools they need to grow their businesses," said Kevin O’Toole, Senior Vice President and General Manager of New Business Solutions at Comcast Business Services, said in a recent Comcast press release. "Upware simplifies what can be a complex world of choices when evaluating cloud-based services."
Upware currently has nine applications in its marketplace, as well as other services such as Business VoiceEdge, Website Hosting and Signature Support.
