This week State Controller John Chiang announced an update to his agency’s government salary website, publicpay.ca.gov, to include data on special districts that include hospitals, levees, fire stations and police departments, among others – a total of 1,500 districts that include nearly 100,000 positions and $5.4 billion in wages, according to a press release.
Originally launched in 2010, Chiang’s office overhauled the site in 2012 to include enhanced search, browsing and mapping features. The entire database can be downloaded for custom use by developers. Learn more by watching video tutorials here.
Sacramento-based Symsoft Solutions developed the website for the agency.
