The conference will also feature:
- 11 work group sessions
- Eight interactive educational sessions with presentations of case studies by county IT leaders and confirmed vendor partners including AWS, Gartner, InfoTech, Microsoft and Oracle.
- Legislative updates by the Rural County Representatives of California and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration.
The full agenda for the conference is available online. In addition to the general and breakout sessions, dozens of vendors will participate with booths, displays and presentations.
The Municipal Information Systems Association of California (MISAC) is planning its conference for Sept. 24-27 at the Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage. Though details have not been finalized, MISAC’s executive director, Brad Walker, said in a news release Tuesday that notices began going out to vendors this week, offering them an opportunity to secure “Partner” status with MISAC for 2023-24. (The organization’s Strategic Partnership year officially runs from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024.)
And CCISDA has also set the date and site for its fall conference: Oct. 29-Nov. 1 at the Portola Hotel & Spa/Monterey Conference Center in Monterey. The agenda for this gathering has not been finalized.
CCISDA’s president is Tom Schreiber, chief information officer for Shasta County. First vice president is Liza Massey, CIO for Marin County.
MISAC is led by Ed Miranda, CIO for the city of Newark. Vice president and conference chair is Larry Klingaman, IT director for Palm Springs.
