Davood Ghods appointed CDCR Deputy Director for Enterprise Information Services

Former Dept. of Food and Agriculture  (CDFA) CIO Davood Ghods has been appointed deputy director for Enterprise Information Services at the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, according to a memo to staff from Agency CIO Joe Panora.

Ghods has been working as a director in IT services in the private sector for the last few years after leaving his position as chief information officer at the Department of Food and Agriculture in 2009.   From 2009 to 2012, he held technology management positions at Ernst and Young and Auriga Corporation.

Prior to starting with CDFA in 2006, Ghods served as CIO for the Department of Consumer Affairs.  He was also deputy director for the Department of Information Technology starting in 2001.

Well known in the state IT community, Ghods has for years held management positions in the Network Systems Division and Project Management Office at Teale Data Center, now the Office of Technology Services within the Technology Agency.

Ghods’ first day will be August 1, 2012.    He replaces Andrea Rohmann who now heads CDCR’s human resources department.
