Dean Named Director of Services for SimpliGov

Veteran technology executive Jeremy Dean has joined SimpliGov as director of services.

Dean has a strong background in various aspects of the tech industry, according to his LinkedIn profile, having led software development projects, workflow automation, data migrations, system integrations and process improvement efforts.
“We’re thrilled to have Jeremy join our growing team in Sacramento in this critical role,” SimpliGov’s chief executive officer, Gary Leikin, told Techwire. “Jeremy’s work will be focused on not only continuing to accelerate our customers’ digital journey, but also leveraging his significant experience to increase the scale at which they can move quickly on the SimpliGov workflow automation platform.”

Dean’s background in the public and private sectors includes “significant industry experience in health-care IT (both clinical and operations), justice and public safety, local and state governments, health and human services, and emergency management,” according to his profile.

“I am very excited to be joining such a great team that is truly helping government organizations and the constituents that they service,” Dean told Techwire. “I could not be in a better place for my next chapter.”

The Rocklin resident began his career in the public sector, working for Benton County, Ore., as an intern and then as a software developer. Subsequently, he was a developer analyst with Visionary Integration Professionals (VIP), was a partner in MW Consulting, and then held a series of increasingly responsible roles with Trinity Technology Group. While with Trinity, he was also an account executive working with one of the state’s largest government entities, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. From Trinity, he went to Mazars, where he was a director and part of their Management and Technology Consulting leadership team.

Dean earned a bachelor of science in political science and government from Oregon State University.
