Technology company and state executives golfed for charity on Friday, raising $100,000 for five Sacramento-area children’s charities
Representatives from more than 20 companies, including CGI, Oracle, Technosoft, Adobe, Agreeya, EMC, Informatica, SAS and Secure-24, attended the Deloitte Fall Classic 2013, which takes place annually at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex and hosted by Deloitte Consulting.
Over the 12 years that Deloitte has held the tournament, $850,000 in total have been donated to Sacramento children’s charities, according to event organizers.
Helping to break a new record above last year’s $90,000, the tournament included a silent auction, raffle and live auction of items donated from local businesses, event sponsors and Deloitte leadership.
The beneficiaries this year were Sacramento Court Appointed Special Advocates, ChildrenNow, Foster Youth Education Fund, Latino Sports Outreach and Sacramento Children’s Home.
Jason Salzetti (pictured below on the far left), the Lead Client Service Partner for Deloitte’s State of California account led the tournament with opening remarks and sponsor recognition, along with presenting the checks.
