The California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) is seeking an information security officer (IT Manager I), who will also serve as chief privacy officer, to be responsible for safeguarding the confidentiality and security of information pertaining to DCC. The incumbent will direct the Information Security Program and will advise the director, the chief deputy director and the chief information officer on matters related to DCC information security.
The information security officer directs the Information Privacy Program, developing privacy policies and procedures to protect the privacy of personal information collected or maintained by DCC. The incumbent also conducts periodic privacy assessments and ongoing compliance monitoring activities.
Additional responsibilities of the role include ensuring the recoverability of DCC’s systems and assets by overseeing the development, implementation, testing and maintenance of DCC’s Operational Recovery Plan to assure continuity of critical applications during a period of man-made or natural disaster. The information security officer also represents the department among state and national security organizations and analyzes legislation and state and federal mandates for their effect on DCC’s policies.

The California Conservation Corps (CCC) is recruiting for an application architect (IT Specialist II) to oversee the design, development, maintenance and support of enterprise applications and to serve as a highly skilled technical specialist for the most complex applications and IT problems. The architect is responsible for implementing new features as prioritized by the project team and resolving bugs/issues in the code base for CCC systems, working closely with subject matter experts to understand scenario requirements and then to improve, implement, design or resolve technical issues as needed.
