Diligent Taps Zamarron for Senior Account Director

"I’m thankful for the experience to touch commercial customers at my last gig, but if you speak SLED, you know it's a language of its own and it's a language I love,” J. Anthony Zamarron told Industry Insider — California via email.

Diligent, which offers governance tools and solutions to government and industry, has named J. Anthony Zamarron of Sacramento the senior regional account director.

Zamarron joined Diligent in January after having served as an account manager for Ivanti. Before that, he held account executive positions with DocuSign, MobileIron and SAS, and prior to that, he held positions in the Office of the Governor, the California Department of Veterans Affairs and the California State Assembly.

“My goal with working at Diligent is to help bring data-driven enterprise risk and compliance discussions to the forefront in the vast IT universe,” Zamarron told Industry Insider — California via email. “In my current role at Diligent, I support public-sector (governance, risk and compliance) clients, allowing me to leverage my extensive work experience in both the executive and legislative branches of California government in the earlier part of my career. Diligent is a great intersection for me on innovations in technology and subject matter.”

Bryant Hatcher, Diligent’s regional vice president for public sector, said Diligent values that experience.

“We brought Anthony to Diligent because his early career background gives him real-work understanding of the problems that Diligent helps our public-sector customers with,” Hatcher told Industry Insider via email.

In his LinkedIn announcement about his new role, Zamarron wrote: “I will just say I’m excited to be back working in the SLED space after working the commercial space at the tail end of my time at Ivanti. I’m thankful for the experience to touch commercial customers at my last gig, but if you speak SLED, you know it's a language of its own and it's a language I love.”
