Access and Identity Management Engineer (IT Specialist II)
$8,374-$11,220 per month

EDD’s Access and Identity Management (AIM) Group is seeking an engineer to provide advanced knowledge and experience in privilege access management, secrets management, identity governance and role-based access controls. The engineer is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and operations of the organization’s statewide IT systems. Duties include:
  • Performing complex technical tasks in engineering and in support of the Infrastructure Support Division’s lines of business and serving as system lead on a rotating basis with other architects
  • Managing applications, upgrades, third-party application software and application security, including detection and prevention of account phishing, web application security issues, host access control and packet filtering
  • Responding to escalated enterprise break/fix server and client problems by investigating and troubleshooting to resolve issues and close with root-cause analysis
  • Serving as team lead/architect/mentor for department projects

Network Engineering Specialist (IT Specialist I)
$6,323-$10,230 per month

EDD is seeing a technical network specialist on systems software/hardware projects, information systems, cloud services and networks focused on the following technologies: firewalls, routing, switches, virtual private networks, load balancers, software-defined data center and network monitoring/management tools.

The responsibilities of this position include:
  • Supporting the organization’s enterprise IT operations, including all associated hardware/software components and the confidential and sensitive data used by EDD, and taking responsibility for the implementation, maintenance and operations of the organization’s statewide IT systems
  • Performing complex technical network engineering tasks in support of the lines of business, and serving as system consultant on a rotating basis with other specialists, including providing leadership, mentorship and training to assigned lower-level and/or less-experienced Network Services staff
  • Monitoring and assigning all network engineering-related service desk tickets, as well as training and mentoring lower-level and less-experienced staff to meet standards to ensure that network engineering-related problems are accurately diagnosed and resolved in a timely manner
