EDD Seeks Supervisor for Identity Management Assurance Role

The position will supervise the Employment Development Department’s enterprise IT operations, including all associated hardware/software/service components and the confidential and sensitive data used at the EDD.

The Employment Development Department (EDD) has opened recruitment for an Access and Identity Management (AIM) Assurance supervisor (IT Supervisor II) to provide “crucial mentorship, leadership and technical direction to the technical staff supporting EDD’s critical identity systems and supporting infrastructure.”

The incumbent will work in the AIM Assurance unit, part of the Infrastructure Services Division of EDD’s IT Branch.

The incumbent will supervise the organization’s enterprise IT operations, including all associated hardware/software/service components and the confidential and sensitive data used at the EDD. The incumbent is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and operations of EDD’s statewide IT systems and supervises systems hardware/software/service projects and/or information systems.

Desirable qualifications for the position include:
  • Experience with planning, distributing and evaluating work of others
  • Experience with technical analysis and triaging of break/fix scenarios including Root Cause Analysis
  • Ability to plan, organize and adapt to changing assignments and priorities, and to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Experience supervising technical staff in a multidisciplinary unit
  • Knowledge and experience in the management and administration of Domain Name System (DNS), Active Directory (AD), Exchange Online and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
