Family Announces Passing of CalDorado’s Mike Hewitt
“At the heart of his work was an unwavering dedication to his clients and government and a deep appreciation for the relationships he built, which will leave a lasting legacy,” his family wrote in a LinkedIn post.
Mike Hewitt of El Dorado Hills, a well-known and influential figure in the information technology industry, has passed away.
Hewitt, founder and president of CalDorado Group LLC, “had a unique ability to bring people together to achieve common goals for the benefit of all, and his unmatched expertise, passion and integrity set him apart as a trusted partner to all,” his family wrote in a LinkedIn post announcing his passing. “At the heart of his work was an unwavering dedication to his clients and government and a deep appreciation for the relationships he built, which will leave a lasting legacy.”
Before founding CalDorado in 2006, Hewitt held executive sales positions with Gartner Inc., Oracle and Unisys. Through his career, he cultivated professional relationships that often became friendships.
Hewitt’s family — wife Ann and children Mike Jr., John and Madeline — are planning a private family memorial event, and they will announce a celebration of life for his friends and colleagues in January.
“In the meantime, we ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate next steps,” they wrote. “We are monitoring his email periodically, so please let us know if you have any urgent updates or want to share any thoughts.”
