FI$Cal’s Topic for Vendor Day: Intranet Content Management Solution

The financial agency is accepting applications for the Feb. 22 event from technology providers who may have a solution to propose. The virtual event will be by invitation only and not open to the public.

The state government department that handles the books for California is hosting a Vendor Day next month, and companies with potential solutions are invited to apply for a chance to pitch their goods and services.

The Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal) holds the events periodically to assess industry proposals for needs and challenges that the agency anticipates.

Industry members seeking to present at the Feb. 22 Vendor Day are required to apply online and describe how their proposals meet the needs specified for next month’s forum. If FI$Cal deems a proposal to be worth exploring, the vendor is invited to offer a virtual presentation. The virtual events are by invitation only and not open to the public.

Vendors interested in registering to present are asked such questions as whether a demo of their solution is available online, whether the company is on lists for state contract vehicles such as California Multiple Award Schedules, the Department of General Services’ Leveraged Procurement Agreements or the Software Licensing Program; and whether the solution has a cloud component and whether it’s certified as moderate or higher in the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP). In addition, vendors are asked whether they have any current government customers that will serve as a reference and whether any white papers are available that describe the solution in depth, including security.

For more information, interested vendors may email vendorday@fiscal.ca.gov.
