First phase of CALNET 3 procurement completed

The California Technology Agency’s Office of Telecommunications Procurement announced this week that 21 vendors were given Pre-qualified Multiple Award Contracts (PMAC). These awards signify the completion of the first procurement phase of CALNET 3.

CALNET 3 will provide telecommunication services for state and local agencies and will replace CALNET 2 when completed.

According to a California Technology Agency press release, the 21 awarded agreements were based on a competitive procurement process which pre-qualified prospective vendors that were exceptionally compliant with administrative requirements and were responsible bidders. This list of pre-qualified bidders will be refreshed in the coming months to ensure a competitive pool of bidders.
