Out with a new mobile app using data from California’s state phone directory, Folsom-based Kiefer Consulting Inc. was the focus of yesterday’s The State Worker blog published by The Sacramento Bee. Kiefer Consulting introduced their app at the Government Mobility Conference earlier this year, predicting that it would become the “go-to source” for looking up CA state employee phone numbers and email addresses, according to the blog post.
The app draws information from public records in the state’s database. But like a wiki page, users can edit information and correct data. Users can easily call, email and add contact info to lists and address books.
The mobile app is free for Californians, but the firm plans to sell similar applications to other states, according to The State Worker. Read the entire writeup here.
