Former Caltrans CIO Ann Barsotti is joining Public Sector Partners (PSP) as the event firm’s director of content development, according to President Russ Hicks.

A veteran IT executive, Barsotti served in state government for more than 35 years, including as CIO of the Department of Motor Vehicles and acting director of Teale Data Center.  As CIO of Caltrans, she was responsible for the department’s IT and administrative functions, including overseeing 22,700 employees.   She retired from state service last year.

As director of content development, Barsotti will assure that the educational forums hosted by PSP will provide sessions with speakers that are experts and prepared to discuss all areas of a topic.

PSP holds technology-related education forums such as the Information Management conference, IT Security Awareness Fair (this year called Cyber Security Symposium) and most recently the Project Delivery Summit.   The firm was founded by Hicks in 1995.

She starts her new position on September 1.
