After announcing that he would be leaving state government late last month, word is finally out that former state CISO Vitaliy Panych has joined World Wide Technology.

Panych will serve as a senior cybersecurity and risk advisor focused on state and local government and education.

"WWT's global and national scale in cybersecurity, AI and tech transformation speaks for itself, but what won me over was the people driving that success," Panych wrote in a LinkedIn post. "Everyone I've spoken with leads with humility, professionalism, and genuine passion for making the world a safer place."

Panych had been serving as CISO since 2019. Before that, he served briefly as the state’s deputy CISO, coming to the California Department of Technology from the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, where he served as the agency CISO from March 2016 until February 2019.

World Wide Technology is an international IT services and consulting firm headquartered in Maryland Heights, Mo.
