Fortinet Names Sales Veteran Flemer to Lead Northern California SLED

Fortinet has named veteran technology sales professional Justin Flemer to the role of regional sales director for state and local government and education (SLED) for Northern California. He will lead the sales team for the region.

Flemer, a resident of the greater Sacramento area, most recently held the national SLED sales leadership role for MongoDB, a high-volume, flexible database store popular with application developers. He has also led global sales organizations with Dorado Software, a provider of integrated resource management and performance monitoring software, and for NetBrain, an adaptive network automation platform, where he built the SLED vertical sales team.

He’s been in the technology field more than 20 years and held roles including account executive, manager, director and vice president.

“He is acutely aware of the technology challenges facing information technology and information security professionals in California state and local government agencies, school districts, community colleges and universities,” Broering told Industry Insider — California in an email. “Having served and advised so many SLED customers exceptionally well over the years, I’m excited for Justin to help advance Fortinet’s SLED customers’ mission-critical projects throughout California.”

In his LinkedIn profile, Flemer describes himself as “proficient in the understanding of multiple technology-based solutions including enterprise resource planning, database and network management.”

Fortinet says its products and subscription services “provide broad, integrated and high-performance protection against dynamic security threats while simplifying the IT security infrastructure.”

Flemer is a graduate of the University of Arizona, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business economics.
