Elizabeth Brann, an experienced state, local and education (SLED) account executive, has joined GitLab as part of the team focused on California.

GitLab, for the uninitiated, is an “intelligent orchestration platform” for DevSecOps that was founded in 2011 as an open source project.

Brann was most recently a state and local government client executive with Hitachi Vantara, and before that was an account executive with SHI International.

“What drew me to GitLab is the company’s mission to enable everyone to contribute to and co-create the software that powers our world, and to do that in a way that is transparent, open and inclusive,” Brann said in an email. “That mindset aligns closely with the spirit of public service: bringing more voices into the process, breaking down silos and helping teams deliver secure, reliable technology that people can trust.”

Brann’s resume also includes time with Northwoods, Otava, Presidio and Skyline-ATS, among others.

“After years working with California agencies, it’s energizing to stay close to that community and help teams streamline software delivery, strengthen security and make better use of limited resources so they can move faster on the missions that matter to their constituents,” she said.

Brann holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in biological sciences from California State University, Sacramento.
