Golden Bridge Strategies Names Michael T. Smith Senior Adviser

Michael T. Smith, a longtime executive with a deep background in sales and business development, has joined Golden Bridge Strategies as senior adviser.

“Mike’s experience and expertise will be a huge asset, allowing us to deliver even more impactful advisory services to our clients,” said Jennifer Saha, founder and chief executive of Golden Bridge Strategies. “This means deeper dives into government technology needs, sharper strategies, and ultimately, even better results for our clients as they serve governments here in California,” Saha told Industry Insider California.

Golden Bridge Strategies focuses on government relations and advocacy, contracting and procurement, data intelligence and research, and go-to-market and sales strategy, among other specialties. In addition, GBS works with a team of consultants that includes a former state agency AIO and CIO, a former statewide procurement manager, and former tech industry executives, registered lobbyists and communications professionals.

Smith has decades of executive experience in the technology and telecommunications sectors, having most recently served as director of business development for SAIC, specializing in the state and local government market in California. Before that, his affiliations and roles included sales executive with Unisys, principal and vice president of business development for the Sacramento Association of Consultants, senior manager of sales for Comcast Business, branch sales director for CenturyLink, vice president of new business development for NexLevel Information Technology, and branch manager for business services/major accounts for MCI Communications before being named director of sales.

Smith is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where he received his bachelor’s degree in commerce and business administration and served as captain of the varsity tennis team.
