
Caltrans made 35 purchases of IT goods in the year’s second month — with the end of the state 2020-2021 Fiscal Year coming June 30; its five most expensive purchases cost $3,289,997. Three of those purchases, totaling more than $650,000, were made with the same vendor. Here, with rounding, is what the department spent:
- $1.7 million for a subscription to Exabeam Threat Hunter and software licensing for 20,001-30,000 users, a purchase made from Solutions Simplified on Feb. 25.
- $935,000 for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure — Object Storage, a purchase made with Mythics Inc. on Feb. 9 following an RFO response.
- $314,000 for telemetry GPS hardware and installation, a purchase made with Geotab USA Inc. on Feb. 17.
- $190,000 for Geotab G09 AT&T telematics devices, installations and training, a purchase made Feb. 2, also with Geotab.
- $152,000 for telemetry GPS hardware and installation, a purchase made Feb. 17 with Geotab.
