Here Are Financial Protection Department’s 4 Largest Buys of IT Services

During the first six months of this calendar year, the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation awarded contracts for document remediation, software training, insurance and maintenance, among other things.

The state’s new Department of Financial Protection and Innovation spent less than $2 million combined for its four largest purchases of IT services in the first half of calendar 2021.

According to data from the Financial Information System for California’s State Contract and Procurement Registration System (SCPRS), the department made the following buys:

  • $1,398,400, spent with Unisys Corp. for document remediation (making websites and online documents accessible to those with disabilities) for fiscal 2021-22, as required under AB 434. The April 7 contract expires in June 2023 and was awarded under a cooperative agreement.
