Through June 30, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) made more than 200 purchases of IT goods, with the costliest reaching eight figures. During that time period, CDPH made 257 IT goods purchases and spent $23,313,843 on its five most expensive buys. Here, with rounding, is what that money paid for, based on data in the State Contract and Procurement Registration System:
- $12.6 million with NWN Corp. for “Cisco Stealthwatch Flow Collector Virtual Edition,” Cisco’s network security solution. This is a three-year contract from Jan. 14-Feb. 14, 2024.
- $3 million with Taborda Solutions for “Partner Community Members Unlimited Edition,” possibly a reference to consulting services. CDPH made the purchase Feb. 3.
- $2.7 million with Zones LLC for “Dyn365ECaseMngmntGCC ShrdSvr ALNG SubsVL MVL Per Usr,” likely a volume licensing purchase of Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 business platform for shared servers. This is a three-year contract running June 1-May 31, 2024.
- $2.6 million with Zones for “Year 1 9GS-00135 CISSteDCCore ALNG SA MVL,” likely a volume licensing purchase of Microsoft’s Core Infrastructure Suite Datacenter. This is a three-year contract from June 1-May 31, 2024.
- $2.5 million with Taborda for “Salesforce Add-On Other Capped Salesforce Enterprise Subscription,” probably a subscription to Salesforce Enterprise Edition. CDPH made the purchase May 17.
