From Jan. 1 through Wednesday, the State Library’s five largest purchases of IT goods totaled just over $375,000, according to the Financial Information System for California. Those five purchases were:
- $160,511 for a one-year subscription to “MTL-VMKB-VM10-B Metallic VM & Kubernetes Backup,” which includes data protection, automated backups, automatic updates and other features and functions. The contract was awarded March 25 with Presidio Networked Solutions Group through the state’s Software Licensing Program (SLP).
- $77,345 for ST Imaging ViewScan 4 premium microfiche readers, including software. The purchase was made April 19 through Total Imaging Solutions in an informal competitive bid.
- $49,118 for a subscription to PA-3020, a threat prevention service of Palo Alto Networks that was purchased April 8 through Enterprise Networking Solutions on a statewide contract.
- $48,285 for Avigilon wall mounts for dome surveillance cameras, purchased May 19 through AVF Systems in a competitive bid.
- $40,426 for Dell PowerEdge rack servers, purchased May 3 through PC Specialists Inc. (which does business as Technology Integration Group) on a statewide contract.
