The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works has issued a request for proposals for customer information system software and related services for the Waterworks Districts.

There are six districts within the Waterworks Districts, serving 250,000 customers through around 70,000 accounts, according to the RFP. The new system will “need to encompass a comprehensive suite of solutions to efficiently manage billing, collections, service order management, and account operations.”

“The CIS should include a user-friendly web portal with payment options accessible via both web and phone interfaces for districts’ customers to use,” the RFP continues. “Moreover, it should enable personalized communication with districts’ customers based on their preferred channels, ensuring streamlined interactions and enhanced customer satisfaction.”

The contract will have an initial term of seven years with the potential for five one-year renewal options.

A mandatory proposers conference will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 19. Proposals are due no later than 5:30 p.m. Oct. 3. Solicitation-related resources can be accessed here. The points of contact for this RFP are Benjamin Sandoval and David Pang.
