L.A. School District Has Vendor Opportunity Coming Soon

The Los Angeles Unified School District will release a pre-request for proposals next week related to data center patch management services. Interested vendors must register with the district to find out more.

The Los Angeles Unified School District, the nation’s second largest, plans to issue a request for proposals (RFP) next week for data center patch management services.

Patch management generally entails updates of firmware, drivers, operating systems and applications to endpoints. Patch management keeps systems updated, minimizing attack vulnerabilities and maintaining users’ productivity.

LAUSD is planning to release the RFP on April 11, according to Industry Navigator*. The school board is tentatively scheduled to take action by Sept. 12, according to the district’s “Cone of Silence” procurements page.

Vendors must register with the district’s Procurement Services Division in order to access the pre-RFP. No other details are available about the solicitation. To contact the division, email procurement@lausd.net.

Additional information about LAUSD procurement may be found here. The CIO for the district is Soheil Katal.
