A large state health-care department is recruiting for several key positions including architects, managers, business analysts and developers.

The Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC), part of the California Health and Human Services Agency, is recruiting for the following positions:
  • Business analyst/scrum master (IT specialist I), working in the Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI). The position is a remote work role that’s open to California residents. The monthly salary range for this position is $5,815 to $9,408, and more information is available in the job posting.
  • Business intelligence and analytics developer (IT specialist I), working in the Business Intelligence Division of OTI. This person will be part of a team responsible for developing, configuring, maintaining, enhancing and testing on-premise and cloud-based enterprise business intelligence (BI) solutions. This includes data warehouse, subject area data marts, ETL processes, reports, dashboards, stories and geospatial analysis (mapping) components.   • Software and solutions developer (IT specialist I), working in the Enterprise Application Development (EAD) Division of OTI. The developer is responsible for developing and/or configuring enterprise application solutions by leveraging Microsoft .NET and low-code configuration technologies (i.e., Salesforce, ServiceNow, Power Apps) and delivering high-quality applications that support workflow and data collection at DMHC.   • Senior software and solutions developer (IT specialist II), working in OTI’s EAD Division, leading the configuration and/or development of enterprise application solutions by leveraging Microsoft .NET and low-code configuration technologies to configure solutions.   • Enterprise architect (IT specialist III), serving as DMHC’s mastery-level enterprise architect and reporting directly to the chief technology officer. “You will establish and lead the Enterprise Architecture Committee (EAC) across Application, Data and Infrastructure domains,” the job posting says. “You will be responsible for modernizing the design of shared services for the most critical and complex projects and initiatives, as well as serving as a key adviser to architecture practices and methodologies.” The monthly salary range for this position is $8,488 to $11,375.
  • Manager of enterprise application support and quality (IT manager I), working in OTI’s Enterprise Application Support and Quality (EASQ) Division. “You will be responsible for establishing, maturing and implementing quality assurance programs to ensure that appropriate test planning, development and execution leads to higher quality software releases and fewer defects,” the job posting says. “You will also administratively oversee developers working on matrixed teams with EAD. We operate a portfolio of enterprise applications that include custom .NET applications, low-code cloud platforms, IT infrastructure and enterprise data. We operate within a wAgile (hybrid waterfall/agile) software development methodology with the goal of delivering functionality ‘at the speed of need.’” The role has a monthly salary range of $8,381 to $11,231.
