Sacramento-based M Corp has been hired to advise the State Controller’s Office (SCO) as the agency assists in the development of the FI$Cal project that will run the state’s financial systems, according to an announcement today from the company.
The FI$Cal Project is an effort by the Department of Finance, the State Controller’s Office, the State Treasurer’s Office and the Department of General Services to use ERP software to modernize California financial business operations.
According to the press release, M Corp will analyze the FI$Cal project relative to best-practices and standards for public-sector ERP initiatives, and make recommendations to the SCO regarding procurements and implementation.
The contract is for $580,000.
