Former FI$Cal project deputy director Maida Black has been appointed chief information officer of the Victims Compensation and Government Claims Board, says Board spokesperson Anne Gordon.

Black started the position on March 5, replacing Donna Snell who was appointed earlier this year.
She has more than 20 years in state service, including serving as chief of enterprise project services at the Department of Consumer Affairs and various IT positions at the Franchise Tax Board, according to Gordon.
