Okta, offers platforms focused on securing identity across organizations and devices.

Between 2015 and 2019, Reed served as the CIO for the state of Arizona, where he led the state’s cloud-first strategy and efforts to modernize and secure its diverse IT portfolio.
While serving as CIO, Reed’s organization was responsible for standardizing cybersecurity solutions across 40,000 employees and more than 100,000 endpoints.
Reed is no stranger to the private sector, having served in leadership roles with industry titans like AWS, Expedia, GoDaddy and Intel, among others.
At Okta, he will be working with senior leaders and public-sector organizations focused on modernizing workforce and customer identity.
“In NASCIO’s recent state CIOs priorities report, the focus is on Cybersecurity, AI and Digital Government. Okta plays a critical role in securing all three,” Reed wrote in a recent LinkedIn post about his new role. “Identity lies at the core of security, and our solutions not only mitigate identity-based threats but also enhance user experiences for employees and residents. Okta’s evolution extends to safeguarding both human and non-human identities.”
