The second annual National Day of Civic Hacking kicked off on Saturday with events in 103 cities in the U.S., including Sacramento.
Code for Sacramento hosted a hackathon at HackerLab where members Jay Venti and Joel Riphagen presented the City of Sacramento Open Budget Project which uses data derived from PDF documents to allow an independent analysis of city budget expenditures.
