The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is teasing the upcoming release of a solicitation for the second phase of its Enterprise Asset Management System, worth an estimated $1.5 million.
While there is no specific release date or details about what the second phase of the project entails, the Southern California transportation agency notes in a list of future procurements that a request for proposals is scheduled for publication at some point this month.
The first phase of the project centered on the replacement of a legacy system provided by Ellipse, and in 2022, the agency began transitioning to the new system from INFOR with the expectation of going live in 2023, according to documents.
It is unclear at this stage what the second phase of the project will entail, and whether it will build on the existing capabilities of the INFOR system or mean the addition of new systems and software.
OCTA, for the uninitiated, oversees transit and capital projects throughout the Orange County region, which includes 34 cities and more than 3 million residents and approximately 2,700 highway and road lane miles.
The Authority’s annual operating budget was $1.76 billion for the 2024-25 fiscal year, with a nearly matching budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year.
