He told Industry Insider — California that he’s eagerly embracing his new role, which he assumed last month.
“This is such an exciting milestone, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead this organization,” Oxman wrote in an email. “The growth of our team and the rapid rise in adoption of Abnormal in the public sector shows that AI-native security platforms are making a massive difference across the U.S. Bad actors are increasingly using AI to great effect, especially when it comes to email attacks, and Abnormal is helping our customers by bringing defensive AI to the battle. All of our team’s hard work, dedication and perseverance is paying off, and I can’t wait to take on new challenges, learn even more, and contribute in a meaningful way.”
“Zach’s promotion to area vice president comes at a pivotal time as we continue expanding our AI-native cybersecurity capabilities across the government,” said James Yeager, Abnormal’s vice president for public sector.
Yeager added: “His leadership, deep expertise, and commitment to protecting public-sector organizations make him the ideal person to drive this next phase of growth. As AI-powered threats become more sophisticated, our mission to equip agencies with advanced AI defenses has never been more critical. I have no doubt that under Zach’s leadership, we will continue to make a major impact in securing the nation’s most vital institutions.”
Oxman’s previous affiliations include increasingly responsible roles with Snowflake, AppDynamics, Brocade/Ruckus, and Enterprise Networking Solutions. He also has a background in finance, having launched and directed CTS Consulting Inc., a boutique commodity trading firm. In addition, he serves as SLED adviser to Pano AI and Armada.
