IMPACT Day, Sacramento 2014
Deloitte Consulting held its 15th annual IMPACT day on Friday, June 6 with two events taking place in Sacramento.
As part of a national effort to provide community support, Deloitte Sacramento volunteers worked with Pacific Elementary School and the California Department of Veteran Affairs (CalVet).
At Pacific Elementary School in South Sacramento, approximately 100 Deloitte volunteers painted murals and college logos to motivate and encourage students to be positive and dream big. Volunteers also performed gardening and landscape work to improve the appearance of the school grounds. Approximately 750 students attend the school.
Deloitte also partnered with CalVet to deliver a small business planning workshop for veterans looking to start new business ventures. Approximately 100 veterans attended this event, supported by 15 Deloitte volunteers, led by Principal Jason Salzetti of Sacramento.
