Pondera Solutions Moves Headquarters, Names COO

The company's Fraud Detection as a Service platform uses Google programs to analyze large amounts of data to identify and prevent fraud in government programs, such as Medicaid, unemployment insurance, Women, Infants and Children, and others.

Pondera Solutions, a provider of fraud analytics to government agencies, has moved its headquarters to a larger building in Rancho Cordova and named Greg Loos its chief operating officer.

The Sacramento-area company formerly was based in Folsom, Calif. Pondera, headed by CEO Jon Coss, has become one of the region’s fastest-rising IT companies.

Pondera Solution’s Fraud Detection as a Service uses Google programs to analyze large amounts of data to identify and prevent fraud in government programs, such as Medicaid, unemployment insurance, Women, Infants and Children, and others.

Coss said the company’s new headquarters in Rancho Cordova will give it the room to expand. Earlier this year the company announced the state’s Unemployment Development Department has contracted with Pondera for unemployment insurance fraud detection services.

"This new location puts us closer to some of our most important state customers, and closer to Sacramento’s business core," Coss said. "The geographic proximity will help us provide better services to our clients and business partners."

Pondera Solutions also has offices in Tallahassee, Fla., and Columbus, Ohio.

In November, Coss was named "Next Tech Innovator of the Year" by the Sacramento Regional Technology Alliance (SARTA). This fall the company launched a platform for detecting fraud activity associated with parking permits.

In other news, the company recently announced Greg Loos as the company’s chief operating officer (COO). In the role, Loos is responsible for overseeing customer support, finance, human resources, operations, sales, and marketing. Loos, a Stanford University graduate, previously was company’s president of sales and marketing. He previously worked for 23 years at Oracle, where he rose through the ranks to become a vice president public sector IT business.

"Greg has powered up our company," Coss said. "Greg is a tremendous asset and we are proud to see him advance and we know that he will bring energy and professionalism to his new responsibilities."
